Like is compared with like
The earlier and latest values must belong to the same game identifier and retailer. This prevents a premium edition at one shop from being compared with a cheaper listing at another shop and presented as one price cut.
DEALCHECKPOINT / PRICE INTELLIGENCE
See where the same retailer's latest paid USD observation moved below its earlier price. Every result exposes its comparison window, check count, period low and last observation time before you open a store.
COMPARISON WINDOW
A wider comparison window for slower retailer changes.
VERIFIED MOVEMENTS
Ranked by the percentage difference between the first and latest same-store observations inside 14 days.
The radar publishes a game only after the same store has at least two paid USD observations inside the selected window.
RADAR METHODOLOGY
A large percentage is not enough. The product identity, retailer, currency, observation window and evidence count must stay understandable.
The earlier and latest values must belong to the same game identifier and retailer. This prevents a premium edition at one shop from being compared with a cheaper listing at another shop and presented as one price cut.
Zero-dollar promotions are excluded. Free-to-keep, free-to-play and paid discounts represent different ownership states, so they belong in different discovery tools and should not share one percentage.
A listing needs at least two recorded checks in the selected window. The check count remains visible so an early two-check signal does not look as established as a movement supported by seven or more observations.
The latest qualifying observation must be no older than 48 hours. That rule keeps an old sale from sitting indefinitely in a live-looking module when the retailer feed has stopped confirming it.
READ THE CARD
The crossed-out value is the first paid price recorded for that retailer inside the selected window. The larger value is its latest qualifying observation. Period low is the cheapest paid observation for that same game and retailer during the window. It is deliberately not labelled as a universal historic floor because the database does not cover every store, coupon, membership, bundle, region or moment in the product's lifetime.
A latest price equal to the period low confirms only that the latest recorded sample is at the bottom of the selected evidence window. It does not predict the next promotion and does not guarantee that another authorised retailer cannot be cheaper.
USE THE SIGNAL
Open the DealCheckpoint price page and confirm the exact edition, activation platform, region and other current retailer offers. Then compare the amount saved with when you intend to play. A strong reduction on a game entering an indefinite backlog can still be a sensible wait.
When evidence is thin, use the PC Game Price Checker to test the visible offer manually. For seasonal context, compare the date with the sale calendar. The retailer's checkout remains the final source for stock, tax and the amount charged.
PRICE DROP FAQ
The radar reads paid USD observations recorded by DealCheckpoint from its attributed retailer comparison feed. The final retailer checkout still controls product identity, availability, tax and price.
No. It means the same store's latest recorded paid price is below its first recorded paid price inside the selected window. The card separately labels the lowest observation inside that period.
A temporary free-to-keep promotion is a different licence and decision state from a paid-price movement. DealCheckpoint keeps giveaways on the Free This Week hub instead of turning them into a 100% price-drop claim.
One observation is a snapshot, not movement. At least two same-store checks are required before the radar can compare an earlier and latest paid price.
Movement calculations use DealCheckpoint's recorded paid USD observations. Retailer comparison data is attributed to CheapShark where displayed. Catalog snapshot data supplies identity artwork and titles only; stale snapshot prices are never substituted into the radar.
US/USD comparison scope. Results require repeated same-store checks and a latest observation within 48 hours. Retailer checkout remains final.
