DealCheckpoint is an independent game-deals and buying-guide publication that helps players understand what an offer includes, whether it is still available and when waiting may be the better decision.
Who publishes the site
DealCheckpoint is published and operated by Murat Zeytin from Türkiye. It is an independent publication, not a store, marketplace or representative of Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, any publisher or any key seller. Purchases and claims always take place on the destination retailer or platform. The site can explain an offer and link to its source, but it cannot control regional pricing, inventory, refunds, account access or a publisher's release schedule.
What readers should expect
The core coverage is PC game deals, free-to-keep promotions, free-to-play discovery, subscription access, release planning and practical buying guides. A useful DealCheckpoint page should answer more than where to click. It should identify the edition and access model, state the region or currency when price data is shown, distinguish a current store price from an observed historical signal, explain the intended player fit and provide a visible source or checking date. Console coverage is included when an official offer or decision guide adds genuine value; the site does not claim to compare every console storefront.
How a page is researched
Research begins with primary material such as an official store listing, publisher announcement, developer post or platform support page. Secondary comparison data is used only when its role is clear. For example, CheapShark may supply wider USD retailer comparisons and observed price history, while the final edition, region and checkout price must still be confirmed at the retailer. Time-sensitive claims receive a source-check date. A draft is held from indexing until its central claim, terminology, image role and useful editorial context have been reviewed.
What our labels mean
Free-to-keep means a limited-time claim can remain in an account after the promotion, subject to the platform's terms. Free-to-play describes the entry price of an ongoing game and may still include optional purchases. A subscription title requires an active eligible plan and can leave the catalog. A current sale is the price visible for a checked region at that time. A tracked or observed low is limited to the stores, currency and collection window named beside it; it is not a promise that no lower price has ever existed anywhere.
How recommendations are made
Verdicts such as claim, buy, wait, watch or skip are editorial summaries, not guarantees. They consider the checked price, edition contents, access restrictions, likely player fit, timing and the strength of the source record. A high discount alone is not enough for a positive verdict, and a free entry price is not treated as proof that a game respects every player's time. When the available evidence is incomplete, the page should say so rather than manufacture certainty.
Accuracy, updates and limits
Live cards can change as storefront data changes. Editorial pages keep a visible publication or update date and may be revised when a deadline, price, platform or release detail changes. Ended campaigns can remain as clearly labelled archives when the record is still useful, but they are not presented as active offers. If a dependable source cannot be confirmed, the claim should be withheld or marked unconfirmed. DealCheckpoint does not promise that every price feed is uninterrupted or that every regional variation is represented.

Console coverage focuses on verified offers and buying context — not full price comparison across every console store.
Our editorial standard
Free-to-keep, free-to-play, current sale and tracked USD low are never treated as the same thing. We prefer primary sources (publisher, platform store or official support pages) and label rumour or unconfirmed claims when they appear. Corrections are published on the page when a factual error is confirmed.
