DEALCHECKPOINT POLICY

Sourcing Policy

Price, availability and release-date claims are checked against primary sources whenever possible, with comparison data clearly attributed when a secondary provider is used.

Primary source hierarchy

Official stores, developers, publishers and platform support pages outrank aggregators. Campaign deadlines and giveaway windows must be verified on the final destination.

Secondary provider usage

CheapShark supplies expanded USD retailer pricing and tracked USD low history. GamerPower supplies console giveaway leads that remain aggregated until an official destination is confirmed.

Product identity checking

Dynamic price and game pages validate title, edition and store metadata alignment. When identity confidence is insufficient, editorial game information is withheld while live offers remain available.

Expired content

Time-limited campaigns are archived or noindexed when their editorial window ends. Live feeds refresh automatically; static claims are re-checked on a recorded date.

Comparison pricing

The expanded USD retailer catalog, deal score and tracked USD low use CheapShark's public pricing API. Steam deals link to Steam directly when possible; other stores open through CheapShark's required redirect.

Images and credits

Hero and card images use recorded roles, alt text and source credits. Official promotional art is labelled as publisher material used for identification.
