DEALCHECKPOINT POLICY
DealCheckpoint Editorial Desk
DealCheckpoint Editorial Desk is the shared byline for source-checked guides, sale explainers and buying decision pages on DealCheckpoint. It is not a individual journalist persona — it represents the site's editorial workflow and human review standard.
What we cover
PC game deals, free-to-keep giveaways, free-to-play catalogues, subscription access, console giveaway leads where verified, and buying guides that compare official store data with clear buy / wait / skip verdicts.
How research is performed
We start with primary sources — official store pages, publisher posts and platform support articles — then add labelled comparison data (for example CheapShark for tracked USD lows across authorised stores). Rumours and aggregator copy are not treated as final proof.
Price data providers
Regional Steam, Epic and GOG cards use live storefront responses. The expanded USD retailer catalog and tracked USD low labels use CheapShark's public API, clearly attributed on each page.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected on the page when confirmed. Email corrections@dealcheckpoint.com with the URL and an official supporting source.
AI assistance disclosure
Drafting and data assembly may use assisted tools under human review. No article is published as indexable editorial without a human approval step and source check recorded on the page.
Operator relationship
DealCheckpoint is operated independently by Murat Zeytin (Türkiye). Editorial Desk recommendations are not sold to retailers or publishers.
